I've taken up the challenge of a fellow blogger, and am going to post a list of very simple things that I personally enjoy. Now, I enjoy some weird things, but it really is the little stuff that makes life just a bit better on certain days.
I don't think that enough people just take the time to appreciate the small stuff. In our fast-paced, get it done, have it now, be there, text me, always on the run society, it's so hard to just slow down.
So anyway, here it is:
1) Stepping out of the building at 7:30 AM, when the sun isn't all the way up, the breeze is cool, all is quiet. It's best when I'm alone, I find myself smiling and taking a couple deep breaths of the morning air...which really is different from afternoon air you know. :)
2) A cup of tea. The other day I had a mug of hot tea that I was taking in to work, and one of the guys I work with said, "Already hitting the coffee this morning?" To which I replied, "No, I don't drink coffee, this is hot tea." He smiled and said "Now you're going to give me one of those literary quotes about how a cup of tea can solve the world's problems, right?" And I said, "No, I don't generally believe a cup of tea can solve anything." But before he could go on, I said "However....I firmly believe that when you're having a bad day, or if you're stressed out, hot tea can't fix it, but it's just so nice to sit back and sip some, that you can't help but have a more positive outlook!" That showed him.
3) Talking to Mom and Dad on the phone...sometimes I just need my Dad's advice or opinion, and talking to him on the phone makes everything so much more clear in my mind. I don't know how he does it, but it makes my day better.
4) Finishing a good book, and just taking a minute to sit back and soak it in. I finished Great Expectations a while back, and it was nice to read the last sentence once or twice, then lay there and contemplate it all.
5) Watching the spring buds pop out on the trees in the courtyard. Even better, on a breezy day, they've taken to flying off of the trees like confetti, so now even the grass is covered in them.
6) Finally getting a concept in Biology. Last night I sat at my desk with my textbook and agonized over the phases of mitosis for over an hour, and just could not understand what they were talking about. Then it clicked. And I understood! It was an amazing feeling, having conquered something that I despise so thoroughly.
And with those thoughts, I still have Bio to study for, as I will for the next few days. I love college (feeeeeel the sarcasm).

I loved your list! Right now the dampish, cool spring air has been my favorite. It's just feels better to breathe it in than any other air...

So, I discovered that you had a blogspot. And I also discovered that I can leave comments without having one myself.
I liked your list. And it's good to know you don't like talking to me on the phone, just mom and dad. The tears are currently streaming down my face.
P.S. Don't be posting anything bad about me now...because, I'll find out.
Oh yeah, and if you don't want me to read your blogspot because you continually have complaints about me, just tell me, and I won't read it...
Maybe...
